Apart from 2 guitar lessons and a handful of cello lessons, he's entirely self-taught! I know most pianists fret over his fingers, lol, whilst admitting that his playing is effective nevertheless. :)

Dutch is here. So I’m not a fan of this song just because I don’t like the genre and also not too happy with the lyrics. However I’m really glad about the fact that he uses a genre more specific to the Netherlands, alongside a lot of other countries. I also like the fact that hes singing Dutch, this felt more like a real competition between countries, rather than artists. Other than that, I’ve watched all your reviews, loved it a lot! You’re not just listening along, you’re making sense of the songs!

It's a live performance ! It's one of the two real fantastic songs, voices and performances of eurovision song contest 2024: Portugal and France. Fortunately, these performances did not need any fireworks which people seem to prefer rather than superb voices, songs, lyrics and performances. ❤from Portugal 🇵🇹

3:40 as a Turkish my biggest criticism of his dancers in Eurovision were they wasn't looks like Greek dancers and more like Netflix dancers... It was really big disappointment. I was hope to see more traditional and good dancers. Still my favorite this year though.

In what way you tought “but is not hindi”?, maybe she wanted it to sound hindi and give that hindi bollywood effect and is actually great. At first hearing i loved that and recognized as hindi indeed, there’s no doubt I think that the hindi idea go on trough the song mixed with the greek melos. Also the use of english words randomly enhance this effect for is typical in hindi language and I’ve got this remembrance.

Bollywood? We call it Minor Asia (Anatolia) and Thrace, dude. Loved the song's structure, her vocals and instruments -especially clarion! Igotta admit for a while I thought Turkey returned to the Eurovision! By the way, yeah, two nations lived under the Ottoman rule for centuries and yes, we have some common words like ZARI (in Turkish it's ZAR:)). This was the most amazing song of ESC 2024!

A song should be more expressive than impressive. She´s not there to show off her huge vocals. She´s there to tell a story. The scream means that´s she´s getting rid of her demons to re-start her life in a more serene way. Music shouldn´t be fireworks or vocal displays for nothing. It has to have a meaning, a story. By the way, there is no fado style in this music. It is just a soulful singer. Not every melancholic music we create is Fado. That´s very...reductive.

Hi from beautiful Greece! Before eurovision night my top 3 songs were Italy, Croatia and France. But when I listen to this one... Oh Jesus! I was open mouthed!!!

This is the worst reaction video I've ever seen. I mean, voila its a wonderful song. And everyone who listens to it falls in love at the first listen. Sure and sure who is a musician. Music is feeling. You don't have to understand the text to connect to the melody. How can you not fall in love with this very beautiful melody??
